Asha Kirana Samaja Seva Sangha is a grassroots non-governmental organization established on May 9, 2005, with the mission to uplift underprivileged communities—especially women, youth, farmers, and senior citizens—through skill development, education, and livelihood support. Based in Ballari, Karnataka, we focus on empowering individuals to become self-reliant by equipping them with practical skills, promoting entrepreneurship, and fostering collective growth through Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO).
We are especially committed to helping poor women and elderly citizens lead dignified and independent lives. Through targeted initiatives, we provide vocational training, self-employment support, and care-oriented services that address both economic and social challenges faced by these vulnerable groups.
Over the years, Asha Kirana has grown into a trusted community partner, recognized for its impact training programs in areas such as artificial flower making, Aari embroidery, door mat production using recycled materials, and computer literacy. We work extensively with Self Help Groups (SHGs), providing not just training but also hand-holding support, market linkages, and exposure to sustainable business practices.
By combining traditional skills with modern livelihood approaches, we aim to create lasting socioeconomic transformation at the grassroots level. Our initiatives are guided by values of inclusiveness, sustainability, and empowerment.
